Programming Proscan TV’s Universal Remote without Codes:

In this method, the codes in the remote are put through a search. By searching one code at a time until it finds the one that works with your remote.

1. Turn on the device that needs to be programmed with the remote.(ex: If you want to set up the remote for the TV then switch on the TV manually)
2. Switch On the remote. Now from the various device buttons on the remote control (TV, DVD, CBL, and OK/SEL) press and hold the one which matches your device for around 3 seconds.
3. Point the remote towards the device and press the “CH+” and “CH-“buttons until the device turns off.
4. To check the code, press the power button. Once the device turns on, change channels. To confirm that the remote programs are perfect.
5. To save the code, press the device button. The LED will flash twice,  to verify the stored code.

Programming Proscan TV’s Universal Remote Manually:

This method is useful if you have the device’s code. The code automatically recognizes the device and thus easily programs the remote.

1. Switch on the device you want to program to use with the remote. (Ex: If you want to set up the remote for the TV then switch on the TV manually).
2. Turn On the remote control. Now from the various device buttons on the remote (TV, DVD, CBL, and OK/SEL) press and hold the one which matches your device for around 3 seconds.
3. Enter the code for the device (you will find it in the instruction manual of the remote) using the number buttons.
4. Now press and hold the power button on the remote, while pointing it towards the device until the device turns off.

This is the simplest method for programming your remote. In case the device is not operating, try some different code from the manual and repeat the above-mentioned steps.

If you do not have the device’s code, you can use this method to program your remote by putting it in search mode and entering manual codes.The remote will then be searching for a code until it finds the correct one for your device.

2. Press and hold the Setup button on the remote while entering three digits 9-9-1 code.
